The Monday Morning Cooking Club girls, in conversation with Corrie
The unstoppable Monday Morning Cooking Club sisterhood returns with a stunning third book containing heirloom recipes and new classics. It’s Always About The Food is the result of a global search for the most-loved dishes that have been delighting family and friends for years and have nurtured communities from Cardiff to Nova Scotia to New York, from Sydney to Johannesburg to Jerusalem.
We are delighted the Sydney-based MMCC gang will return to My Bookshop in August. In partnership with our friends at Franque in Hawksburn Village, we look forward to hosting an "in conversation" with the girls, and discussing their mission to honour and share stories of immigration and survival, joy and sorrow, family and connection. We hope you can join us.
WHEN: Thursday August 17, 6.30pm-7.30pm (doors open from 6pm)
WHERE: Franque, 597 Malvern Road, Toorak (up the eastern end of the Hawksburn Village)
TICKETS: $25 per ticket (includes wine and pass-around food)
RSVP: Please call My Bookshop on 9824 2990 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to secure your ticket. Past experience with the MMCC tells us that this event will book out quickly, so please let us know asap if you'd like to come along.
This is our first event with Sarah Hook and her team at Franque. My Bookshop's Toorak road store will be closing in a few weeks and we are very sad to lose our beautiful Events space. But we are enormously excited with the new opportunities popping up for us around the Hawksburn Village. There is incredible neighbourhood support for My Bookshop and our mission to bring the local community, writers and books together. We thank Franque for their enthusiasm and look forward to sharing this wonderful MMCC event.
